This disassembly guide to take apart K1 and K1 Max Top Frame/Gantry, which will be required for community linear rails upgrade.

Top Gantry Teardown

Loosen the Belts: Start by loosening the four screws at the back that secure the belt tension spring.
De-tension the Belts: Take two of the loose screws from the machine and insert them into the sides of the tensioner. Tighten these screws to relieve belt tension.
Remove Motor Screws: Unscrew the two screws on top of the gantry that secure the stepper motor.
Find the Hidden Screw: Look for a third screw in the corner of the gantry that also secures the motor, and remove it.
Pry the Belt: Use a flathead screwdriver to carefully pry the belt off the motor pulley as you lower the motor.
Tap the Motor Shaft: If the motor pulley is difficult to detach, gently tap the motor shaft from the top using a hammer.
Remove the Motor: Finally, take the motor out of the gantry.
