Replacing the heated bed on your Creality K1 or K1C is a more involved repair than simple maintenance, typically required after physical damage, electrical failure, or a severe print crash. This guide walks you through the complete process based on official Creality tutorials and community experience . The procedure begins with removing the flexible build plate, then using a 2.5mm hex wrench to loosen the four screws securing the aluminium heated bed to the carriage . Critical caution: when lifting the bed, start from the left side and lift carefully, the wiring harness underneath has very limited slack, and the cables connect to a circuit board with five white connectors near the right rear corner . These connectors may have adhesive securing them, requiring gentle wiggling to free or dab of iso alcohol to loosen hot glue. After disconnecting all cables, the old bed can be removed and the new one installed by reversing these steps. Post-installation essentials: ensure all connectors are firmly reseated, run a self-check from the printer's settings menu, and perform a full bed levelling calibration before resuming prints. Do ensure you perform the swap while the printer is turn off and unplugged.
