If your Ender 3 S1, S1 Pro, or S1 Plus is experiencing persistent electrical issues, like a failed part cooling fan MOSFET, non-responsive stepper drivers, or complete power failure, replacing the mainboard may be the most effective solution . The S1 series uses a V2.4.S1 Silent Mainboard featuring TMC2208 drivers for quiet operation . However, there's a critical consideration: these boards come with either an STM32F103 (older) or STM32F401 (newer) main control chip, and they require different firmware versions. Installing the wrong firmware can "brick" your printer .
