Creality K1 How to replace Hotend Heat Sink

Step One

 

  1. Set the nozzle temperature to 260°C. Remove the blue line clamp on the extruder and press the clip to extract the PTFE tube. Switch the extruder to the unlock position and remove the filament.

Step Two

 

  1. Turn off the machine and disconnect the power cable.

Step Three

 

  1. Unplug the transmission cable connector on the left side of the  sub-board. Use an Allen wrench to remove the two fixed screws above the AI Lidar and the fixed screws on both sides of the print head cover.

Step Four

 

  1. Remove the fan cover and unplug the model fan connector.

Step Five

 

  1. After the temperature cools to room temperature, remove the three fixed screws holding the print head board and the heat-insulating cover of the hotend. Use an Allen wrench to remove the top thread of the throat tube fixed in the middle of the heatsink block and the two screws fixing the hotend.

Step Six

 

  1. Disconnect the motor wire connector, ceramic heater wire connector, and thermistor wire connector on the back of the sub-board. Remove the hotend.

Step Seven

 

  1. Use an Allen wrench to remove the two fixed screws of the AI Lidar mounting bracket, two fixed screws on the front of the heatsink block, and two fixed screws on both sides. Remove the heatsink block.

Step Eight

 

  1. Install the new heatsink block in the slider's fixed position. Insert the hot-end throat tube into the hole in the heatsink block and fix the hotend by fixing the piece through the heatsink block to the slider with two corresponding screws. Use an Allen wrench to tighten the two front screws, two side screws, and the heatsink block screw.

Step Nine

 

  1. Put on the heat-insulating cover wrapping the hotend. Securely connect the motor wire connector, ceramic heater wire connector, and thermistor wire connector to their respective positions on the back of the print head board.

Step Ten

 

  1. Use a hex wrench to tighten the three fixed screws on the print head board, securing the print head. Insert the model fan connector into the corresponding socket on the print head board.

Step Eleven

 

  1. Close the print head cover and tighten the two fixed screws on the left and right sides of the print head cover. Align the bracket of the AI laser radar with the positioning hole on the side of the slider, and tighten the two fixed screws respectively.

 Step Twelve

 

  1. Insert the connector of the AI Lidar cable into the corresponding mounting groove in the middle on the side of the print head board. Align the upper positioning column of the AI Lidar with the positioning hole on the mounting bracket, and tighten the two fixed screws respectively.
