How to replace Anycubic Kobra Toolhead PCB

Note: Before replacement, the Teflon tube on the 4-in-1 hub needs to be removed

 

 

 

 1. Required tools

 

●S1.5 Allen key

 

●S2.0 Allen key

 

●S2.5 Allen key

 

 

 

 2. Disassembly steps:

 

 Step 1: Turn off the printer

 

Before replacing the Y-axis belt, make sure to turn off the printer and disconnect the power supply to ensure safe operation. 

 

 

 

 Step 2: Disassemble the print head module

 

① Remove the print head module from the back of the printer and use the S2.5 Allen key to unscrew the screws that fix the print head module.

 

 

 

 

② Use the S2.0 Allen key to unscrew the screws that fix the hub 4-in-1. 

 

③ Use the S1.5 Allen key to unscrew the fixing screws that fix the print head cable. 

 

④ Unplug the wiring plug connected to the extruder motor. 

 

 

 

 

 Step 3: Disassemble the printer housing

 

① Remove the front housing of the print head module and unplug the wiring plugs of the cooling fan and the print head light.

 

 

 

 

②Use S2.0 or S2.5 Allen key to unscrew the screws of the fixed module housing. 

 

 

 

 

 Step 4: Disassemble the extruder assembly

 

①Use S2.5 Allen key to unscrew the screws that fix the extruder assembly and remove the wiring plug connected to the adapter board. 

 

 

 

 

②Remove the extruder assembly and use S2.0 Allen key to unscrew the screws that fix the print head adapter board(Toolhead PCB).

 



②Install new/replacement PCB print head adapter board(Toolhead PCB). 


3. Installation steps

 

 Step 1: Install the extruder assembly

 

①Use S2.0 Allen key to install the fixed print head adapter board.

 

 

 

 

②Connect the wiring plug back to the print head adapter board and use S2.5 Allen key to install the fixed extruder. 

 

 

 

 

 Step 2: Install the module housing

 

①Use S2.0 or S2.5 Allen key to install the fixed module housing. 

 

 

 

 

②Install the module front cover and connect the cooling fan and print head light wiring back to the adapter board. 

 

 

 

 

 Step 3: Install the print head module

 

①Connect the extruder wiring plug back. 

 

 

 

 

② Reconnect the print head cable and use an S1.5 Allen  key to install and fix it. 

 

 

 

 

③ Use an S2.0 Allen  key to install and fix the four-in-one hub. 

 

 

 

 

④ Use an S2.5  Allen  key to install and fix the print head module.
