Note: Ensure the stepper motor connector is plugged in with the correct orientation. Due to the small connector size, it is possible to plug the motor in reverse. If you find the stepper motor moving in the opposite direction, please double-check the connector and flip the orientation if necessary.

Step One

 

  1. Set the nozzle temperature to 260°C, remove the blue clamp on the extruder or press down the tab to pull out the PTFE tube, switch the extruder to the unlock position, and remove the filament.  Remove the extruder protective cover.

 Step Two

 

  1. Power off the machine and unplug the power cord.

  1. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the 3 screws on the left and right sides of the extruder kit, gently support the bottom of the extruder motor, and slide out the extruder kit from its mounting position.

 Step Four

 

  1. Use an Allen wrench to remove the 2 screws that secure the extruder front cover, and disassemble the extruder assembly.

 Step Five

 

  1. Take the new extruder assembly and place it on the heat-insulating plate of the extruder, aligning the screw holes. Insert the provided 2 fixing screws into the front cover mounting holes and tighten them securely.

 Step Six

 

  1. Gently slide the extruder kit into the mounting position on the X-axis slider, ensuring that the upper end of the PTFE tube passes through the extruder front cover. Secure the extruder assembly with the 3 fixing screws.

 Step Seven

 

  1. Re-attach the motor protective cover, switch off the extruder gear, insert the filament and PTFE tube, reinsert the blue clamp, and the extruder assembly replacement is complete.
