Creality K2 Plus Toolhead Wiring Replacement Guide

Some misc part/tools, you will need:

  • Zip Ties
  • Allen Key


Install Video:



Written Guide:


1. Turn off and unplug printer from the wall.


2. Remove back plate


Remove 16 fasteners using 2mm allen key. 



3. Remove 2 PTFE retainer clips from the drag chain



4. Remove tool head top cover


Using 2mm allen key to remove 3 screw and remove the back cover. 





5. Unplug the toolhead cable loom connector from breakout board.



6. Remove cable from cable chain.


Using a flat head screw driver, or pray tool to lift clip of the cable loom.



7. Remove the cable chain and cable from mounting point.


Remove the 3 fasteners, to allow you remove last link of the cable chain to allow you remove the cable. 





8. Remove rear right panel.


Remove the 3 fasteners, 2 are hidden under the top cover gasket 






9. Remove side internal panel cover.




10. Cut off zip tie



11. Unplug the toolhead wiring loom and remove the old wiring loom and re-install new cable loom. 




12. Zip Tie  the new wiring loom securely.



13. Reverse the process to re-install the cable loom.


Ensure the cable loom is zip ties securely with PTFE guide, at both end of the cable loom.



Remember to feed through cable loom before install the end clip and securing back onto back panel. 




14. Install back the tool head cover and back cover, and PTFE guide clips.


You can now move the toolhead around slowly to see toolhead can reach all build area without much restriction . 




15. Plug the power back in, and re-run on screen calibration.
