How to Use Your Pre-Paid Australia Post Return Label

If you've received a pre-paid return label from us, follow these steps to return your item quickly and easily:

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Option 1: Print-at-Home Return

1. Print the Return Label (if not already printed)

  • You will receive the return label as a PDF via email.

  • Print the label using any standard printer. Make sure it is clear and not resized.

2. Pack the Item Securely

  • Reuse the original packaging if possible.

  • Make sure the item is well-protected to prevent damage during transit.

  • Include any accessories, manuals, or parts that came with the item, unless otherwise instructed.

3. Attach the Label

  • Affix the label to the outside of the parcel.

  • Remove or cover any old shipping labels to avoid confusion during delivery.

4. Drop Off at Australia Post

  • Take your package to any Australia Post outlet.

  • You do not need to pay anything — the label is pre-paid.

  • Ask for a lodgement receipt when you drop it off, just in case you need to track it. Otherwise item can drop off at any AusPost Red street mailing box or Parcel Locker.

5. Tracking Your Return

  • You can track the return using the tracking number on the label or lodgement receipt.

  • Returns usually take a few business days to arrive at our facility depending on your location.

Option 2: No Printer? No Problem — Lodge Over the Counter

  1. Pack the Item Securely at Home

    • Before heading to the post office, please pack the item properly in a sealed box or satchel.

    • Use padding if needed to avoid damage during transit or use original packing but ensure you cross/mark out existing label and QR/barcodes.

  2. Visit an Australia Post Outlet

    • Take your packed item (with no label attached) to any Australia Post counter.

  3. Show the Return Label Email

    • Show staff the label email on your phone or a printed copy with the barcode or QR code or quote the AusPost return ID to staff.

    • They will print and attach the label and lodge the item for you.

  4. Lodge the Parcel

    • Hand over your parcel and request a lodgement receipt so you can track your return.
